NV Nederlandse Spoorwegen is a public limited company under Dutch law. Its registered office is in Utrecht. NV Nederlandse Spoorwegen is the holding company of NS Groep N.V. NS is a state-owned company.

Corporate security

NS protects property and creates a safe working environment for employees. NS offices, workshops, warehouses, maintenance facilities and closed sections of stations are protected from two Security Control Centres (SCCs) in Amsterdam and Utrecht.
